PM Modi to inaugurate development projects worth over Rs 60,000 crore in Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday will participate in the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF).

Over 1.25 lakh farmers are expected to attend the event in Ahmedabad, highlighting the strength and resilience of cooperatives, which have played a pivotal role in establishing Amul as one of the world’s leading dairy brands.

Following this, PM Modi will proceed to Mahesana, where he will pay homage at the Valinath Mahadev Temple before attending a public event in Tarabh. Here, he will dedicate several key projects worth over Rs. 13,500 crore across vital sectors such as internet connectivity, transportation, education, healthcare, and urban development. Notable initiatives include the Bharat Net Phase-II – Gujarat Fibre Grid Network Limited, various railway and road projects, and multiple water supply schemes.

In Navsari, the Prime Minister will unveil a plethora of development endeavors exceeding Rs. 47,000 crore. These encompass critical infrastructure undertakings like the Vadodara Mumbai Expressway, rural drinking water supply projects, underground drainage schemes, and the commencement of construction for the PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel (PM MITRA) Park.

Furthermore, PM Modi will lay the foundation stones for several significant ventures across Vadodara, Surat, and other regions, including the inauguration of two new Pressurised Heavy Water Reactors (PHWRs) at the Kakrapar Atomic Power Station. With a combined capacity of 1400 MW, these reactors signify a landmark achievement in India’s nuclear power sector, promising substantial contributions to clean energy generation benefiting multiple states.
