A group of Assistant Executive Engineers from the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) of 2022 and 2023 batches, had the privilege to meet with India’s President, Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan today.
In her address to the engineers, President Murmu emphasized the importance of their role in addressing climate change and global warming.
She stressed the need for them to focus on creating sustainable, energy-efficient, and eco-friendly infrastructure such as buildings and roads. The President urged the engineers to adopt innovative approaches to tackle emerging challenges, taking advantage of advancements in technology like 3D printing.
President Murmu highlighted the significance of green construction in today’s world and encouraged the engineers to explore innovative construction methods that minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.
She emphasized the importance of collaboration and urged the engineers to embrace new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, robots, and drones to enhance efficiency and productivity in their projects.
