BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address four election rallies in Karnataka today, Sunday. Notably, out of Karnataka’s 28 Lok Sabha seats, voting has already taken place for 14 seats in the second phase, while the remaining 14 seats will go to polls on May 7th in the third phase.
In the third phase, voting will take place in these 14 seats of Karnataka:
Bagalkot, Belagavi, Bidar, Bijapur, Chikkodi, Davanagere, Dharwad, Gulbarga, Haveri, Bellary, Koppal, Raichur, Shimoga, Uttara Kannada Lok Sabha constituencies.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address election rallies in the North Karnataka region today, covering Belagavi, Uttara Kannada, Davanagere, and Bellary. The third phase of voting on May 7th will encompass 95 Lok Sabha seats across 12 states and Union Territories.
Karnataka has always been a stronghold for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Lok Sabha elections, being the only southern state where the party has a significant presence. In the 2019 general elections, the party secured a decisive victory on 25 out of the state’s 28 seats, while the Congress managed to win only one seat.
The third phase of voting on May 7th will witness voting in 95 Lok Sabha seats across 12 states and Union Territories. A total of 1,351 candidates will contest in this phase. Along with the remaining 14 seats of Karnataka, voting will also take place for all 25 seats in Gujarat. Additionally, several seats in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar will also go to polls in the third phase.
