High Commission of India launched a three-week long celebration of International Day of Yoga 2024 with a curtain raiser on Saturday morning at the Indira Gandhi Cultural Center (IGCC)in Dhaka.This year, the main events for the International Day of Yoga in Bangladesh will be held at Suhrawardi International Indoor Stadium, Mirpur, Dhaka on 21st June.
The High commission of India in Bangladesh is organizing a series of curtain raiser yoga events during next three weeks at different venues to create enthusiastic environments for Yoga before the 21st June’s Main event, said Mrunmay Chakravrty, Director IGCC.
The Theme for International Yoga Day 2024 is “Yoga For Women Empowerment”. The purpose of Yoga Mahotsav 2024 is to spread yoga as a global movement, with a focus on improving women’s health and well-being as well as world peace and health.
