Authorities in Manipur have imposed a total curfew in Imphal following a surge in violence that targeted homes and properties of public officials, including ministers and MLAs. The unrest prompted swift action from law enforcement to restore order in the region.

In a series of operations across Imphal East, Imphal West, and Bishnupur districts, the police arrested 23 individuals suspected of involvement in the attacks. Among the items recovered from the suspects were a .32 pistol, seven rounds of SBBL ammunition, and eight mobile phones.

At least eight people were injured as security forces dispersed the mob using tear gas and other measures. To prevent further unrest, heavy deployment of the Army and Assam Rifles was made in key areas. Flag marches were conducted to reassure residents and deter further violence.
