PM Modi to attend 25th anniversary of Jahan-e-Khusrau Sufi music festival in Delhi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the grand Sufi music festival, Jahan-e-Khusrau 2025, on Friday, February 28, at Sunder Nursery in New Delhi, marking the festival’s 25th anniversary.

Jahan-e-Khusrau, an internationally renowned festival dedicated to Sufi music, poetry, and dance, has been a significant platform for celebrating cultural heritage. Organized by the Rumi Foundation, the festival was founded in 2001 by filmmaker and artist Muzaffar Ali. This year’s edition, running from February 28 to March 2, will feature artists from around the world, paying tribute to the legendary poet and musician Amir Khusrau.

A strong advocate for India’s rich artistic traditions, PM Modi’s participation underscores his commitment to promoting cultural diversity. In addition to attending the festival, he will visit the TEH Bazaar (The Exploration of the Handmade), which will showcase One District-One Product crafts, along with short films highlighting India’s vibrant handicraft and handloom traditions.
