In a personal gesture, US President Donald Trump gifted Prime Minister Narendra Modi a signed copy of his book, Our Journey Together, during their meeting at the White House. The book features several photos from the Howdy Modi and Namaste Trump events held in Houston and Ahmedabad. President Trump inscribed, “Mr. Prime Minister, you are great.”
During their discussion, President Trump fondly recalled the Namaste Trump event held in 2020 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium, the largest cricket stadium in the world. Prime Minister Modi, addressing the media, remarked, “The echoes of the massive Howdy Modi and Namaste Trump events can still be heard in India today.”
The meeting in Washington DC was marked by a warm hug and a firm handshake between the two leaders. Notably, PM Modi became the fourth world leader to meet President Trump since he began his second term in office.
