External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar will embark on a four-day official visit to Mongolia and South Korea from June 22 to 25, aimed at strengthening India’s strategic partnerships and expanding cooperation across key sectors including trade, technology, defence and connectivity.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), EAM Jaishankar will visit Mongolia on June 22-23, where he is scheduled to meet the country’s leadership and hold bilateral talks with Mongolian Foreign Minister B. Battsetseg.
India and Mongolia share a close relationship rooted in historical, cultural and spiritual ties, along with shared democratic values. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in 1955, and cooperation has steadily expanded across political, economic, developmental and cultural domains. The visit follows recent high-level engagements, including Mongolian President Khurelsukh Ukhnaa’s visit to India in October 2025, during which both sides discussed a roadmap for enhancing cooperation over the coming decade.
Following his Mongolia visit, EAM Jaishankar will travel to South Korea on June 24-25. During the visit, he will hold discussions with South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun.
EAM Jaishankar will also deliver the keynote address at the prestigious Jeju Forum for Peace and Prosperity in Jeju on June 25.
The visit comes shortly after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in France.
The four-day tour is expected to provide fresh momentum to India’s engagement with two key Indo-Pacific partners while advancing New Delhi’s broader strategic, economic and diplomatic objectives in the region.
