Delhi-NCR is likely to receive light to moderate rain on Friday, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting partly cloudy skies and intermittent showers in some areas.
The weather department has not issued any warning for heavy rainfall, storms or thunderstorms. Day temperatures are expected to remain between 33 and 35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is likely to settle between 23 and 25 degrees Celsius. Humidity is expected to remain between 60 and 80 per cent, adding to the discomfort.
As the southwest monsoon begins to withdraw, rainfall activity over the region has weakened, with only limited cloud formation. The weather is expected to remain partly cloudy over the next 24 hours, with occasional clear spells. Light rain or drizzle may occur at isolated places, with the probability of rainfall estimated at 5 to 12 per cent.
Several parts of Delhi-NCR and Uttar Pradesh received rain accompanied by strong winds on Thursday. The hilly regions also witnessed snowfall, bringing relief to tourists.
According to the forecast, weather conditions in Delhi and adjoining areas are likely to remain largely clear, although isolated rainfall cannot be ruled out.
