PM Modi Extends Navratri Day 7 Greetings, Prays for Prosperity and New Energy

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extended greetings on the seventh day of Shardiya Navratri, praying that the blessings of Maa Kalaratri bring renewed energy, confidence and prosperity to everyone’s lives.

In a post on X, PM Modi said, “Today, during Navratri, is the special day for the worship of Mother Kalaratri. May their blessings illuminate everyone’s life with new energy and fresh confidence. May there be prosperity for all by the divine grace of Devi Maa; this is the prayer.”

The Prime Minister also shared a YouTube link to Jay Durga Maa, an Odia devotional song performed by Antara and Jyotirmayee.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also extended greetings on the occasion, offering prayers to Maa Kalaratri, the seventh form of Goddess Durga.

“Countless salutations at the feet of Maa Kalaratri, the seventh form of Adishakti Maa Durga, who grants fearlessness to her devotees,” Adityanath wrote on X.

He prayed for the removal of obstacles and difficulties from people’s lives and wished for happiness, peace and prosperity for all.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also conveyed her greetings, emphasising the importance of faith, courage and determination in overcoming challenges.

“On the sacred seventh day of Navratri, countless salutations at the holy feet of Mother Durga’s seventh form, Maa Kalaratri. The worship of Maa Kalaratri teaches us that with faith, courage, and unwavering resolve, victory can be achieved over every darkness,” she wrote on X.

Gupta further prayed for the elimination of negative forces and the prevalence of peace, harmony and positive energy in society.

The seventh day of Shardiya Navratri, observed on Saturday, October 17, this year, is dedicated to Maa Kalaratri and coincides with Saptami Tithi.

Navratri is a nine-day Hindu festival devoted to the worship of the nine forms of Goddess Durga, with each day dedicated to a different manifestation of the deity.

Maa Kalaratri is traditionally associated with the destruction of fear, darkness and negative forces. Despite her fierce appearance, she is revered as a protective and benevolent form of the Goddess who grants courage and fearlessness to her devotees.
