Officers and officials of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), led by Secretary Tanmay Kumar, participated in a mass singing of the National Song ‘Vande Mataram’ at Indira Paryavaran Bhawan in New Delhi on Friday as part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga 2026’ campaign.
The programme was organised to mark the ongoing nationwide commemoration of 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’ and promote the spirit of patriotism and national unity.
Following the mass singing, Kumar led a tree plantation drive at the ministry premises, highlighting the government’s focus on environmental conservation and sustainable development.
The ministry said its offices under administrative control across the country are actively participating in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign through collective singing of the National Song and plantation drives.
The ministry is also encouraging its officers and employees to participate in the campaign by uploading ‘Selfie with Tiranga’ on the official Har Ghar Tiranga portal.
The Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 campaign is being observed nationwide from August 9 to 17, alongside celebrations marking 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’. The initiative seeks to encourage citizens to display the national flag and participate in activities celebrating India’s national identity, unity and heritage.
