It is turning to be a good day for India. Following the Roller Skating Glory at the 19th Asian Games on October 2, India scripts history in Table Tennis doubles event at Asian Games.
Table Tennis phenomenal duo, Ahyika Mukherjee and Sutirtha Mukherjee scripted history at Asian Games 2022 by clinching the bronze medal in the women’s doubles event.

With this, the sisters broke the barrier in style, getting India’s first-ever medal in TT doubles event in the Asian Games history.
They faced North Korea in the Table Tennis Women’s Doubles Semifinal in Hangzhou. Sutirtha and Ayhika started off positively, winning the first game, but the North Korean pair of Cha Suyong and Pak Sugyong fought back hard to win the match 7-11, 11-8, 7-11, 11-8, 11-9, 5-11, 11-2.
The unseeded North Korean pair will now face South Korea in the final.
Further, India’s Archery teams have advanced to the Quarterfinals. Here is a look at the results of the archery team.

▪️Women’s Recurve Team defeated Thailand for a score of 5-1
▪️Women’s Compound team finished first in the ranking in the qualification round
