AAP MP Sanjay Singh, in a press conference on Tuesday, confirmed that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s aide indeed misbehaved with former DCW Swati Maliwal when the latter was waiting to meet Kejriwal at his house in Delhi.
Singh said that the incident took place in the chief minister’s drawing room.
The party stated that Kejriwal has taken note of the matter and will take appropriate action against the concerned person.
Swati Maliwal, a senior AAP leader and a member of the Rajya Sabha, went to the Civil Lines police station on Monday morning and claimed she was assaulted by Kejriwal’s personal assistant, Bibhav Kumar. However, she didn’t lodge an official complaint.
Earlier today, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) House was adjourned without any discussion following a ruckus by councillors of the BJP over the issue of the alleged assault of Maliwal and the demands for the appointment of a ‘Dalit’ Mayor.
The BJP councillors also raised slogans against the Delhi CM while holding placards.
