PM Modi greets Ashwini Vaishnaw on birthday, lauds his role in infrastructure and technology push

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extended birthday wishes to Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, praising his contribution to strengthening infrastructure and advancing technology and innovation in line with the vision of a developed India.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister said Vaishnaw was “at the forefront of strengthening key infrastructure” that would play an important role in building a ‘Viksit Bharat’.

“Birthday wishes to Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw Ji. He is at the forefront of strengthening key infrastructure that will go a long way in building a Viksit Bharat. Equally noteworthy are his efforts to boost futuristic sectors relating to the world of tech and innovation. Praying for his long life and good health,” PM Modi said.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also greeted Vaishnaw, commending his efforts to modernise the railways and accelerate the growth of the information technology sector.

“Your tireless efforts to modernise railways and accelerating IT sector are advancing Modi Ji’s vision of seamless transport and Digital India. May God bless you with a long and healthy life,” Shah wrote on X.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also extended birthday wishes to Vaishnaw, praying for his good health, long life and continued success.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described Vaishnaw as an energetic and popular leader, saying that under his leadership India was reaching new milestones in the fields of railways, telecommunications and information technology.

Ashwini Vaishnaw, born on July 18, 1970, is a former IAS officer and entrepreneur. He currently serves as the Union Minister for Railways, Information and Broadcasting, and Electronics and Information Technology.

A Rajya Sabha member from Odisha since 2019, Vaishnaw has been associated with several initiatives related to railway modernisation, digital infrastructure, telecommunications and technology development.
